Inpatient Incontinence Business Unit Lead
ITA-Verona
HARTMANN Italy, the Italian branch of HARTMANN Group (German health care listed company), is looking for a Inpatient Incontinence Business Unit Lead in our corporate offices in Verona. S/he will lead the Incontinence unit, with overall responsibility for the commercial and marketing strategy and business performance. S/he will lead the Sales and Marketing organization, including field sales teams and agents, ensuring effective execution of the go-to-market strategy and achievement of business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Commercial & Go-to-Market Strategy
- Defines the overall Sales & Marketing strategy and go-to-market model, including customer segmentation, channel strategy and direct/indirect territorial coverage.
- Develops annual commercial plans and sales targets, translating business objectives into clear priorities and actions for the sales organization.
- Monitors sales performance against plans and targets, identifies deviations and defines appropriate corrective actions.
- Identifies business opportunities and risks and defines initiatives to support sustainable growth.
Marketing & Business Development
- Develops the marketing strategy and marketing mix, including product, pricing, positioning and promotion, based on market, customer and competitive analysis.
- Develops and strengthens the solution-selling approach, ensuring that the value proposition effectively addresses customer needs.
- Manages the Business Development Manager and supports the development of new business opportunities.
Sales & Team Leadership
- Leads regular meetings and business reviews with the sales network and supports the sales force and the agents through field visits and coaching.
- Leads and develops the Marketing team, ensuring effective collaboration with Sales and Clinical teams.
- Manage activities related to public and private tenders, in collaboration with the tenders department
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including administrative decision-makers, procurement teams, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Economics or Scientific disciplines.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Sales Manager and in managing sales teams, preferably in incontinence or comparable markets with the same target customer base (Nursing Homes, and Regional Purchasing Authorities responsible for public tenders). Additional experience in Marketing and Strategic roles is a plus
- Background in an international, structured, and modern organization.
- Good knowledge of the healthcare market mechanisms, both public and private, and related dynamics (e.g., tenders, direct offers, etc.).
- Ability to manage high-level national relationships.
- Professional demeanor aligned with the product segment and target market (overall image, public relations awareness, discreet behavior, compliance adherence, etc.).
- Strong drive to achieve commercial goals and business-oriented mindset.
- Good understanding of market mechanisms.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required by the role.
- Managerial skills, flexibility, charisma, problem-solving ability, and determination.
- Proficiency in English and familiarity with major IT tools.
