Warehouse Manager (In‑House Operations & Logistics Execution)

The Warehouse Manager contributes to the logistics performance of the Benelux cluster by ensuring reliable, efficient and high‑quality warehouse operations. The role is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the warehouse, optimizing logistics processes and safeguarding safety, quality and operational efficiency. The objective is to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers and ensure smooth and continuous operational execution.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Managing the warehouse team (operational staff, team leaders).
- Ensuring efficient stock management and accurate administration in the WMS.
- Coordinating receipt, storage, order picking, packing and dispatch.
- Optimizing warehouse layout, processes and performance.
- Being responsible for the complete inbound and outbound process.
- Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, quality standards and internal procedures.
- Ensuring a tidy, safe and clean warehouse environment.
- Coaching and developing employees.
Operational Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Support Supply Chain Manager generating and analyzing the cluster KPI’s scorecard generation (productivity, errors, safety, service levels) and review.
- Reporting performance to clusters and Corporate.
- Maintaining contact with transporters, suppliers and other departments (planning, customer service, purchasing).
- Acting as the local operational representative of Hartmann Logistics by collaborating with internal stakeholders and participating in relevant cross‑functional working groups.
- Providing operational expertise and insights to support market initiatives and ensure alignment with warehouse processes and compliance requirements.
- Initiating and supervising improvement projects
- Taking an active role in the digitalization of warehouse operations by identifying relevant technological opportunities and leading the implementation of modern tools such as automation solutions, advanced scanning, IoT tracking or other technologies that improve efficiency, accuracy and collaboration within the warehouse.
- Take responsibility for local logistics purchasing needs by initiating and managing procurement of warehouse equipment, materials and services, and by supporting local tendering processes in alignment with the cluster logistics and procurement teams.
- Execute sustainability initiatives within the warehouse and support cluster‑level projects by implementing global process standards locally. Ensure that global system, process and organizational requirements are correctly deployed and followed within the warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Graduate/ BA working and thinking level, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a warehouse and logistics environment.
- Experience in managing operational teams.
- Good command of WMS systems and MS Office. SAP knowledge is a pre.
- Fluent in French, Dutch, English.
- Leadership skills, Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Knowledge of safety guidelines
