Key Account Manager (Inpatient) – Full-time role covering the whole of Flanders (preferably based in Antwerp, Limburg or Flemish Brabant); our head office is in Saintes (Tubize), Belgium.
Our Key Account Manager Inpatient must possess a commercial, ambitious, enthusiastic, and highly result-oriented profile. You will report to the Sales Manager Inpatient Benelux.
As Key Account Manager Inpatient you are responsible for visiting existing customers on a regular basis (according to the visit frequencies determined by management) and building commercial relationships with prospects, in order to increase turnover and reach a maximum of sales compared to the potential.
- You implement the strategy and achieve the objectives determined by the Business Unit Director Inpatient Benelux. You work closely with the Sales Specialists in your area to win business and achieve planned objectives. You develop and execute strategic plans in order to achieve profitable growth.
- You know the products, their uses and the environment in which they are used, both for Hartmann products and those of the competition and are able to make the translation between the external demand and the internal possibilities.
- You discuss useful information about competitors, market openings, prices, product qualities, etc. with the Business Unit Director Inpatient Benelux and participate actively in the development of offers/conditions and follow-up until closing.
- Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Hunting are the basic skills and a must in this position. You are a team player but you are also able to work independently. You have a strong commercial insight and are able to make sharp analysis.

Job requirements:
To make this position a success, we are looking for someone who has Higher education in science and/or business and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- A network within the hospital is mandatory because that’s where our target audience is
- Medical training is crucial, as many of our products require a high level of technical expertise—from operating specialised equipment correctly to performing clinical procedures such as wound care, hospital hygiene, and others
- We are looking for people with experience in the following areas: operating theatres, wound care and hospital hygiene, hospital pharmacists, procurement officers and health and safety advisers
- Dutch speaking and writing is mandatory, English and French is a plus
In addition:
- You have advanced and robust analytical skills and you are numerically strong.
- You are a team player, have a strong commercial insight and are able to make sharp analysis.
- You are flexible, energetic and results-oriented.
- Your reporting skills (Excel, CRM, etc.) are excellent.
- You have strength of conviction and the ability to gain buy-in.
- You have a real entrepreneurial mindset ; you are commercially smart and communicative and you are able to open doors and develop the sales pipeline;
- You can empathize with the customer, you ask the right questions and you are a good listener.
- You are goal and indicator driven and concern for profitability.
- You are committed and reliable with a sense of initiative.
- Your language skills in Dutch are excellent and you have good command of English.
- You have excellent planning and organization skills.
- You have very good presentation and training skills.
