Key Account Manager

The Key Account Manager Inpatient (hospitals) will contribute to the development of our (sales) organization by:
Responsibilities :
Customers
- As Key Account Manager Inpatient you are responsible for visiting existing customers on a regular basis (according to the visit frequencies determined by management) and building commercial relationships with prospects, to increase turnover and reach a maximum of sales compared to the potential.
Products
- You know the products, their uses and the environment in which they are used, both for Hartmann products and those of the competition and are able to make the translation between the external demand and the internal possibilities.
Strategy
- You implement the strategy and achieve the objectives determined by the Business Unit Director Inpatient Benelux. You work closely with the Sales specialists and colleagues out of the hospital team a to win business and achieve planned objectives. You develop and execute strategic plans to achieve profitable growth.
- You discuss useful information about competitors, market openings, prices, product qualities, etc. with the Business Unit Director Inpatient Benelux and participate actively in the development of offers/conditions and follow-up until closing.
This role is a great opportunity for a passionate professional willing to invest and develop her- himself as Key Account Manager at an international company. You will report to the Sales Manager Inpatient Benelux.
Our office is based in Nijmegen (the Netherlands) but the regional territory is Noord and Mid Holland.
Qualifications :
- To make this position a success, we are looking for someone who has at least 5 to 10 years’ experience working as Key Account Managers in Hospitals or in a similar position (Account Manager + expert in tender management / experience in leading tenders).
- Experience working with hospitals (e.g. in Medical Device distributors) is a must.
- Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Sales Hunting skills are the basic required skills and an absolute must in this position.
- You have a understanding of tenders and you have a very good understanding and knowledge of fundings in hospital business.
- You have a real entrepreneurial mindset ; you are commercially smart and communicative and you are able to open doors and develop the sales pipeline.
- You like to hunt for new business / clients and are not afraid of ‘cold acquisition’.
- You have a positive mindset, you can empathize with the customer, you are a good listener and you ask the right questions.
- You have advanced and robust analytical skills and you are numerically strong.
- You are a team player and you also have high levels of autonomy.
- You have a strong commercial insight and are able to make sharp analysis.
- You are flexible, energetic and results-oriented.
- You are committed and reliable with a sense of initiative.
- Your language skills in English and Dutch are excellent.
- Your reporting skills (Excel, CRM, etc.) are excellent.
- You have excellent planning and organization skills.
- You have very good presentation and training skills.
- You recognize yourself in the following competencies: high performance, customer-oriented and you are a passionate team player.
