Senior Demand Planner - Global Planning Hub  

ESP-Mataró (Barcelona) 

At HARTMANN, we are shaping the future of Demand Planning through our Global Planning Hub based in Barcelona.

As part of an international transformation journey, we are expanding our centralized planning capabilities to support multiple countries and markets across Europe and beyond. We are looking for a Senior Demand Planner who wants to work in a highly collaborative, international, and data-driven environment, contributing to the evolution of modern Supply Chain planning.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with regional markets, global planning teams, and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-evolving setup focused on operational excellence, scalability, and future-ready planning capabilities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

As a Senior Demand Planner within the Global Planning Hub, you will play a key role in driving forecast quality, planning transparency, and S&OP excellence across international markets.

You will collaborate closely with commercial organizations, finance, operations, and global planning teams to ensure robust and reliable demand plans aligned with business strategy and customer needs.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze statistical forecasts and validate baseline demand plans based on historical data and business insights
  • Collaborate with local market organizations to integrate enrichments, promotions, risks, and opportunities into demand plans
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date forecasts are maintained in planning systems (e.g. SAP IBP)
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and key planning KPIs, proposing improvement actions where needed
  • Support and lead Demand Review and S&OP processes in alignment with global planning standards
  • Identify supply risks, bottlenecks, and potential impacts on customer service in collaboration with Supply Planning teams
  • Support inventory optimization and obsolescence management through proactive planning
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Global Planning Hub
  • Help strengthen planning analytics, collaboration, and standardization across countries and regions

Requirements:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering and a postgraduate certificate in supply chain management would be desirable.
  • At least 3 years of related experience in supply chain management.
  • Self-starter drive with good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work. Experience with SAP IBP or advanced planning systems is considered a plus.
  • Deep MS Office Knowledge.
  • Digital mindset and knowledge in emerging digital technologies (e.g. RPA, Blockchain, AI, IoT etc.) Experience in operational excellence.
  • Highly motivated, structured and able to handle stressful situations if needed.
  • Strong in trouble shooting, problem solving, and high degree of proactivity.
  • Results oriented.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English. Knowledge of additional European languages, particularly German or French, is considered a significant plus.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural environment.
