As a Clinician, you will be responsible for supporting the Hollister and HARTMANN wound care business by performing the duties of a stoma and wound care nursing services specialist by providing clinical advice in Gauteng. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support both internal & external customers with up-to-date clinical information relating to HARTMANN Wound Care portfolio as well as the Hollister portfolio. 
  •  Identify & develop best practice with the use of HARTMANN and Hollister solutions in the form of case studies, medical journal writing, poster presentation and clinical forum presentations.
  •  Co-ordinate and deliver wound and ostomy care education internally and externally at both regional and national level. 
  • Educate and assist nursing staff with the safe and effective delivery of care within the designated area and ensure a high standard of patient care in liaison with ward managers, consultants and other professionals.  
  • Evaluate and review patterns of working, giving professional support to the ward / department in conjunction with the lead ET/ and wound care in the clinic. 
  • To educate and assist nursing staff with pre -operative assessment, citing and counselling of patients. 
  • To educate and assist nursing staff with postoperative support and care to patients.  
  • To assist nursing staff with selection of suitable postoperative products. 
  • To schedule appointments with patients who are unable to attend hospital clinics and if requested by Product Specialist (after approval by the In-Patient National Sales Manager). 
  • Complete required administration tasks which may include salesforce.com, D4 Patient Information, [ETMS], sample requests for patients, recording boot stock inventories twice a week, and completing monthly reports on activities. 
  • Ensure data privacy is in line with POPIA regulations including appropriate collection, storage and transmission of any customer data. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse.  
  • Stomaltherapy qualification / currently working as a Stomaltherapy Nurse / working in a GIT ward or busy doing a Stomaltherapy Course would be advantageous. 
  • Woundcare qualification / currently working as Woundcare nurse or busy doing a Woundcare course would be advantageous. 
  • 4 years’ experience in a clinical setting working with patients and/or end users. 
  • Training and presentation skills
