As Senior Manager Freight and Transportation Management (w/m/d) you are responsible to achieve best in class transportation costs and improve the quality & performance of transport service providers. You will be reviewing current transportation processes act as a subject-matter expert for the Supply Chain network of the HARTMANN Group. Sounds interesting? Your area of responsibility:
- Conduct tenders and calculate/prepare results for review also on top management level
- Regular Business reviews with the carriers in order to improve the performance, the overall quality and reducing customer claims
- Conduct freight Negotiations for all transportation modes
- Analyse Supply Chain data and KPIs in order to propose counter-measures and solutions
- Perform Supply Chain design
- Lead and participate in Supply Chain projects such as the optimization of transport structures through network analyses or the automation of processes in the interface between warehouse and transport
- Optimize the transportation and logistics processes
Do you have what it requires?
- University degree in logistics, supply chain, economics, business or process management
- Several years of experience in the Supply Chain area and the management and development of transport processes
- Proven experience in transportation management with expert knowledge of air, road and ocean transport operations and incoterms
- Strong IT skills in MS-Office and SAP; ideally in SAP TMS
- Strong negotiation skills as basis for freight negotiations
- Analytical and conceptual skills, distinct intercultural, communication and interaction skills
- Commitment and innovation, self-control and assertiveness
- English and German language skills are a must-have
