As HR Director Czech Republic & Slovakia, you will lead the HR function for approximately 1,500 employees across manufacturing and commercial operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, lead an HR team of around 20 employees and drive the people agenda in a complex, international matrix environment.

 

We are looking for an experienced HR leader who combines strategic thinking with a pragmatic hands-on approach and who can bring structure, clarity and stability while successfully balancing global standards with local business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the HR organization across Czech Republic and Slovakia
  • Act as strategic business partner to the Managing Director and local leadership team
  • Drive leadership development, talent management and succession planning initiatives
  • Ensure the attraction, development and retention of key talent
  • Implement and continuously improve HR processes, systems and ways of working
  • Support organizational development, transformation and change initiatives
  • Strengthen organizational effectiveness by creating clear structures, roles and responsibilities
  • Partner closely with manufacturing and commercial leaders on workforce and people topics
  • Drive employee engagement and foster a high-performance culture
  • Ensure compliance with labor legislation and corporate HR standards
  • Manage HR budgeting, workforce planning and reporting activities
  • Act as the key interface between local organizations and the global HR community

 

Your Profile

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Psychology or a related field
  • Several years of HR leadership experience in an international environment
  • Strong generalist HR background covering talent, organization, employee relations and people processes
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial or multi-site organizations preferred
  • Proven track record of operating successfully in matrix and corporate structures
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience leading and developing HR teams
  • Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working
  • Ability to navigate complexity and bring clarity in dynamic environments
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Fluent in Czech and English
  • Willingness to travel across the region
