Compliance & Legal Specialist 

Italy, Verona


Key Responsibilities:


Hartmann Italy, the Italian branch of Hartmann Group (German health care listed company), is looking for a Compliance & Legal Specialist to be inclued in the Compliance Department, based in our corporate offices in Verona. 


Your area of responsibility in the Legal Area for:
• Being responsible for the Italian Legal Area and in collaboration with Corporate Legal Department 
• Provide legal advice to the Management 
• Define and implement structure and processes inside legal area 
• Coordinate external legal advisors relations (Corporate Law, Public Law, Labour Law, Tax Law)
• Responsible for Criminal Law prevention plan
• Responsible for defining company strategy & defence in arbitrations, administrative and court
   procedures. Follow up of legal processes
• Responsible for Corporate housekeeping
• Responsible for PoA, board & shareholders equity resolutions
• Definition of company contract models (distribution, NDA, freight & logistics, collaborations,…)
• Advise in IP related topics
• Responsible for Legal Tracker and Contract Management tools together with Legal Database
• Implementing corporate contracting policy
• Responsible for developing and improving the contract platform software
• Digitalization of contract management including signature
• Be the contact person within all the Contract Managers to assure a proper contract compliance
• Developing best practice recommendations and reducing legal risks


Your area of responsibility in the Compliance area for:
• Ensuring and implementation of the organizational Code of Conduct & Compliance policy
• Protocols and procedures implementation in case any compliance case is detected within the organization
• Investigating and solving compliance related issues 
• Developing tools and methods to track and report relevant information
• Communication with different departments providing explanation and legal assistance
• Identifying training needs regarding compliance procedures as well as training employees and directors
• He/she will report to the Regional Director and the Headquarter in Germany
• He/she will be the local compliance reference in Italy



• Bachelor’s degree in law, emphasis in business corporate law. 
• Experience in the medical device/health industry is desirable but not a must
• Ability to understand complex compliance laws & regulations
• Knowledge of compliance regulations
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Compliance Specialist/Coordinator in a law firm or a big corporation with focus on Health & Safety matters and 5 years of experience in Legal Departments
• Very good knowledge of Italian and English written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work independently on projects
• Leadership and influencing skills
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build strong relationships and become a trusted
  partner to relevant stakeholders
• International experience will be a plus
• Negotiation and problem solving skills
