Senior Manager (f/m/d) Category Management Machinery



As part of the Indirect Procurement-team, we offer you an exciting and responsible task in a globally active functional area. Your area of responsibility:


  • Category management for the category machinery, MRO and parts sourcing and procurement
  • Strategic sourcing of suitable suppliers and service providers
  • Development and implementation of commercial and design to cost-reduction activities
  • Participation in the creation and rollout of global category and supplier strategies
  • Supporting the definition of global category and supplier strategies within the cross-functional team
  • Conduct market analysis, supplier selection and risk management
  • Negotiating terms and contracts with suppliers
  • Qualification and development of new suppliers, implementation of market analyzes, supplier phasing in and phasing out
  • Comprehensive risk management


What we look for:


  • Bachelor, Master’s Degree, or diploma (MBA) of engineering or a comparable degree in a technical field
  • Several years of experience in purchasing or technical sales of machinery and complex large-scale systems
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, as well as the ability to drive projects to a successful conclusion
  • Intercultural competence and excellent stakeholder management
  • Very good negotiating and analytical skills
  • Well-founded experience in working with international business partners, suppliers, and service providers
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills paired with procurement project management experience
  • Experienced SAP user
  • Business fluent English skills C2, German B2
